Why Glass?

BETTER FOR YOUR BODY. BETTER FOR OUR PLANET.

High Purity water can dissolve anything it contacts.

Glass is the purest container for the purest water.

Crushed Plastic Bottles
Crushed Plastic Bottles

Superior to Plastic

Plastic presents significant issues for our planet and our bodies. Plastic is the most commonly littered material. Every day approximately 8 million pieces of plastic pollution find their way into our oceans. Plastic water bottles also leach plastic into the water inside them. The most widely encountered plastic polymer in our bodies is Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is most commonly used in disposable water bottles.

Yet another reason to switch to glass.

Better for your body. Better for our planet.

Crushed Cans

Superior to Aluminum

Although aluminum is recyclable, aluminum cans and bottles present their own problems.  Aluminum cans and bottles typically have a plastic lining between the aluminum and liquid. This lining is often made of  BPA, a plastic that affects hormone levels and increases the risk of cancer. Glass requires no lining and no nasty chemicals.

Just pure water.

Better for your body. Better for our planet.

Research on Plastics in Bottled Water

A new study was published on January 8th, 2024 exposing the existence of vast quantities of plastics in bottled water. The study, conducted by researchers at Columbia University Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University, and Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, found the presence of “more than 105 particles in each liter of bottled water, the majority of which are nanoplastics”.[1]

This is the most significant study yet to date showing contamination in bottled water by plastic. We have been aware of the problem of plastic contamination in bottled water for many years.  HydRx packages water in glass to avoid contamination from plastic bottles.

Below is a direct link to the study. We encourage you to read it, or check out this article by Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health that provides a wonderful summary of the study.
